About the course
In the Bachelor of Theology Course, created for the distance modality, you will be trained to exercise religious service. This graduation addresses historical, ethical and philosophical issues, and develops your ability to formulate strategies to identify and interpret problems related to contemporary religious practices, relating theology with other human sciences in a multidisciplinary nature. You will leave graduation fully prepared to meet the social demands of this profession, offering captivating proposals to solve the existing demands in the religious sphere, which can be in different contexts and cultural and socioeconomic realities.
In addition to these attributes, the professional graduated from the WULP University Theology career will be able to follow the evolution of man in the search for understanding and knowledge, making use of the principle of evolutionary observation of the times and the social context in the one who develops, works and lives.
Along with this profile, the theological professional must participate in public and private alliances to educate society, helping to seek the highest values of justice and citizenship.
Preparation for ministry is the goal of most theology students. But a contingent of apprentices has an interesting work space in the field of evangelization and human promotion, to give an example in educational works, humanitarian aid, assistance and health organizations, either in Brazil or abroad.
The Armed Forces usually hold a chaplain contest and one of the main requirements is that the candidate has a degree in Theology, as well as in hospitals and community counseling services. Large companies also require a degree. The NGOs that develop social projects look to the theologian to give spiritual advice or give lectures on spirituality to the public served by them. Another important place is the publishing houses of religious magazines and books.
